In a bid to enhance the capacity of coaching, the Gambia National Olympic Committee kickoff a five-day training for the Gambia female coaches of national sports associations to help the yet to be trained coaches enhance themselves.
The primary objective of this five-day training is to help the participants improve on the administrative approach to sports development in The Gambia to ensure Sports Leaders strive for effective management.
“I do not doubt that at the end of the course you will all go home with skills to better manage your Sports and the athletes under your charge, also know more about the Olympic Movement and better understand how it operates,” Ms Beatrice Allen President of the GNOC said.
Coaching a difficult task yet made too easy from the outside of it as a normal person observing from the above. A course that let one person manage over 20 people and help them grow from strength to strength in other to get to their dreams.
The course requiring intensive training to manage over 20 people these heroes who are not much celebrated are left alone to overcome all obstacles.
Coaching improves awareness of communication and language, personal and professional strengths, as well as areas to develop, opportunities and potential. It creates and builds confidence, creative-thinking, responsibility and commitment.
