Pa Furmus Correa Red Scorpions Fc known for their heavy scoring goals when they are in the mood have open their 2021 1st division Gambia Football Federation (GFF) female league campaign with a 12-0 thumping against younger ones Kinteh’s FC on Friday, 19th March 2021 at Qcity.
Hitting up a 12 goals margin in all the GFF Division leagues seems to be a milestone to achieve but Red Scorpions make it to look easy hitting hard to this margin against Kinteh’s FC.
One expects the team’s top goal scorer to score in such margin and just as that Adama Tamba who is prolific in front of goal has registered her name on the score sheet.
Opening league matches are mostly seen as league deciders as to how the league will probably unfold and this one has spark life into the women football league fans.
Scoring goals doesn’t seem to be there problem as the unfamiliar names appear on the score sheet. Fatou Bojang, Ola Buwaro, Haddijah Jammeh, Fatou Fatty, and Fatoumatta Jammeh open their 2021 campaign with goals.
After about 10 months of women football absence, Red Scorpions FC one of the powerhouses of women football in the Gambia have put up an alert on other league opponents to be prepared when they have to face off.
It was a clash of big sister and younger one (Red Scorpions FC big sister vs Kinteh’s FC younger sister) as the big sister showed no mercy on the younger and push them into the bottom of the table with -12 while they sit on top of the table with +12 after game week one.
