W1: GAM PROS WEEKEND ROUND UP

By Pa Furmus Correa

It felt like Arsenal played into Tottenham’s hands in Sunday’s north London derby, so the way the game turned out was hardly a surprise.

The Gunners looked nice and neat on the ball against Spurs but they never looked like they were going to hurt them.

That’s an ongoing problem for Mikel Arteta’s side, who have averaged more passes per shot than any other Premier League team this season.

They have scored only 10 goals in 11 league games the same as top goal scorer battler Son of league leaders Tottenham.

One tends to point figures on their last season top scorer Aubameyang to be banging the goals for the gunners but they are not coming from him either.

After their poor run of form and goal drought for Aubameyang in open play, Gambians were quick to reflect on the airport incident they have with him and throw stuff on social media saying, “for Aubameyang to score again he must kneel before the Gambian people to ask for forgiveness.”

Aubameyang fail to score in open play in the 2020/2021 season since September 12th against newly promoted side Fulham in match day 2.
