In the wake of both teams coming from 0-0 draws in their Friday and Saturdays matches respectively, Falcons will welcome this GFF week eight fixture at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field with the belief of turning their season around.

It’s on home soil where Falcons have been really good with two wins from their last three matches at home (W2, D1). That goes some way to explaining their favourites tag, which if they live up to, would make Ebrima Sarjo(Raul) added into the history books of Falcons becoming just the first manager to win his first three matches against Brikama United.
Just as it seemed Brikama United had turned a corner with an early table topping of the Gambia Football Federation division one league, Modou Lamin Touray’s men were then brought back down to the realities of the league after falling short in their recent outings.
Their recent inability to win matches have forced them to collect only 3 points from a possible 12. What will serve as a confidence boost at least ahead of the weekend is the fact that Brikama United are levelled on matches won against Falcons FC in their last seven fixtures (W3, L3). The travelling side have however failed to win in their last four GFF league games, so will be hoping that there isn’t another hangover.
Brikama will arrive at Yundum knowing that defeat will see Falcons leapfrog them in the table standings, so head coach Modou Lamin Touray(Sarr) will be desperate to avoid that fate. That could be easier said than done, as Falcons have beaten and kept back-to-back clean sheets against Brikama United last season.
Players to watch: Brikama United’s Captain Sainey Bojang doubled as the club’s December player of month having 4 goals and an assist on his name already. Saikou Jatta is also another one to keep an eye on after impressing for Falcons at the heart of the defense with 3 clean sheets from a possible 7.

KnowDStat!: Falcons have scored five times at home this season and maintain an unbeaten run while Brikama United failed to win an away match this season scoring only once.
