Gambia’s Handball Female U-17 Assistant Coach Amie Manneh calls on the government and other relevant stakeholders to support handball games in the country as the game is taking place in few areas across the country without any standard facilities.

“The government institutions, Non-Governmental Organisations let them come on board to help handball game, handball is a very nice game and we have youngsters who are playing it,” Amie Manneh told Sporty Nation.
If you look at the way we are playing it and the way Senegal and other countries are playing it they are all the same, but Gambia we lack support we need support in facilities that is why the competition bid is hard on us because of lack of support, Manneh said.
The Gambia will participate in the zone two championship in Mali for a place in the National Competition.
Commenting on her team’s preparation for the competition Manneh said she is hopeful they will clinch the zone two championship competition.
“We are well impressed about the preparation, the team is full of young talented stars, we are targeting the trophy for this competition and hopefully these young stars can do it.”
