Abdoulie Bojang accuses referees of “bad refereeing”

The Gambia U-20 gaffer Abdoulie Bojang after his side’s defeat to arch rivals Senegal in the ongoing WAFU ZONE A, has accused referees of bad refereeing in a post match interview as posted by the GFF.

Mr Bojang was quoted saying “we showed why we are champions but it is a shame that we continue to face these bad refereeing.”

Bojang was talking on the penalty incident after the referee awarded Senegal’s U-20 a penalty at the 6th minute of the match to see Senegal cruise into a 1-0 Senegambia derby win.

With the derby at stake, a win for either side would see the team top the group despite guaranteed of Semi-final footbal but the derby put everything aside and brought the derby mood.

Penalty at 6 minute was all it takes to make Abdoulie Bojang standing on the touchline for Gambia brought out his derby vibes and could not let it slide without sharing with the press.

It’s always difficult when you conede and early and unfair goal like this, we all saw the game, Bojang told the press.

The Gambia have qualified to the semi-final of the WAFU ZONE A Championship and their title defense when they face Mali next in a quest to reaching a back-to-back final.
