GOAL MACHINE TAMBA SIGNS FIRST PRO CONTRACT

Gambia’s goal poacher Adama Tamba who plays for Gambia’s Red Scorpions and one of Gambia’s most decorated female team has join French division 2 side Grenoble Foot in a year loan deal being the first step of her professional career.

With a height of 1.59, the 23 year old Gambian who made her debut in the Gambian colors at the U-17 with her twin sister in 2012 catches the eye of the cafonline publisher captioning “Tamba twins brightening the Scorpions corner.”

Known for her goal threat, Tamba has been prolific in front of goal leading her team into a double and winning multiple awards in the 10th SJAG awards night including the female best player of the year.


Adama holds her country’s record for most goals in the league and the national team.

The lethal forward has scored 165 goals in 114 league appearances adding to her 18 goals in 12 matches for the scorpions.


Her love for scoring goals has made her one of the most lethal strikers in the region thus earning her tryouts with French clubs Lyon and PSG in 2018.


Now she has joined Grenoble Foot on a loan deal and testing the waters of professional football for the first time at 23.

Tamba signed for Grenoble foot on transfer deadline day when teams rush to complete their signings before it closes leaving them with no option but to wait until January to make signings.
