THE FORGOTTEN STAR CARAYOL IS STILL ON THE MOVE

By Pa Furmus Correa

Mustapha Carayol the former similar face and name when it comes to National team called ups has suddenly being forgotten and declined but continues to make his mark in the Turkish League after joining Adana Demirspor on a free transfer.

Forgotten by fans that cheered him each time he is named in the squad and cause fans to argue about him being dropped or left out has suddenly gone into hiding.

Mustapha missed the National squad duties in 2019 when Tom Saintfiet took up the Gambia National Coach duties. Since his appearance in 2019, Carayol has not being named in the provisional 40 man squad that is trimmed to 23 man squad.

Carayol who used to be fans favorite is fading from the fans favorite to being the fans forgotten star after youngsters like Musa Barrow, Ebrima Colley, Alassana Manneh, Dembo Darboe and others emerge.

Could his age be the reason of his dropping from the squad?

Mustapha Carayol who plays for 40 teams and counting turned 32 on September 4th and was unnamed in Tom Saintfiet provisional squad to face Gabon in November.

Carayol manage to score 15 goals as an attacker after playing 5456 minutes out of 116 matches in 40 different clubs and National duties with 12 assist.
