IBOU TOURAY PICKS CLUB DUTIES OVER NATIONAL DUTIES

By Pa Furmus Correa

Capped Gambian full back Ibou Touray prefers club duties over national duties which lead him to reject his called up to be part of the 40 man provisional squad.

Touray who plays for Salford in the English championship and winner of the Salford best player award says he wants to focus on club side than coming to play for the scorpions as there hope of registering their maiden appearance in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) continues.

Gambia who lead the group on a goal ratio different with Gabon occupying 2nd are looking good on the run form and confident of featuring in the AFCON 2021.

Touray is the latest player to reject a called up after Hamza Barry, Steve Trawally, and Saul Marreh rejected called ups due to  former assistant coach Matarr Mboge as rumors says.

It is yet to be known why Touray choose to reject the called up and hiding on focusing on his club side. Could there be any problem between the two parties?
